Community Fund
The Cattle Hill Wind Farm (CHWF) Community Fund aims to share the benefits of CHWF by investing in the communities around the wind farm. The Funds are intended to provide financial support to community groups, organisations and projects that provide a lasting benefit to a broad proportion of the local community.
The annual allocation of funding is a voluntary contribution from CHWF.
Round Four - 2024
Round Four of the Community Fund opened from 27 August to midnight 8 October 2024.

We wish to thank everyone for the stunning applications. By meeting the Round Four Community Fund Guidelines, applicants made it easier to make it the highest amount allocated from the community fund since we began operations.
This totalled over $180,000 allocated. We wish to thank all those who continue to support the community fund to strengthen community creativity.
Round Three - 2023
Round Three of the Community Fund opened on 31st July 2023 and closed on 24th September 2023.
As a priority, communities supported are to be within the Central Highlands Local Government Area. Applications to support communities outside this area are welcomed and will be assessed on their merits.
We are happy to announce the winners of the Community Fund were:
- Health Action Team Central Highlands (HATCH) – Ouse Walking Track
- Jericho Fire Brigade – Communications Technology
- Waddamana Stays – Portable Coffee Stand
- Lions Club of Bothwell and Districts inc. – Local Community Shelter for New Seating
- Steppes Community Hall – Maintenance
- Westerway - Tyenna River Walk
- Bothwell Wellness Group – Wellness Activities
Round Two - 2022
We were pleased to support six community projects with Round Two of the Cattle Hill Wind Farm Community Fund:
- Great Lake Community Centre Extension Project.
- Glenorchy Anglers Club - replacement of water tank at fishing shack.
- Health Action Team Central Highlands (HATCH). Supporting the Central Highlands meal delivery program.
- Central Highlands - Training and Skill development and workshops for local residents.
- Central Highlands School Breakfast Program.
- Pilot program for youth and adults mental health community sports for high school students and adults in the Central Highlands.
